He who laughs first laughs last?

Question:i don't know if that is the right saying but it goes something along those lines.
what does it actually mean? :S

Answers:
He who laughs last, laughs longest.

It means that the person who gets the last laugh has truly won whatever the fight/bickering was about.
Whatever.
He who laughs last laughs best!
To me it means: don't tease someone or play tricks on them or think you have beaten them, because chances are you will be out-teased or out-tricked or beaten by the other person in the end.
And actually, it is usually 'she' who laughs last I have to admit.
he who laughs last laughs longest.
I think it's 'he who laughs last laughs loudest'
He who laughs last laughs longest

Bwahahahahahahahahahaha!

So I'm guessing it's gonna be longer than that
Is it not He who laughs last laughs longest?
When a person acts on any particular situation in a bad way.usually the out come isn't the best.
He Who Laughs Last Laughs Longest (or sometimes best)

The person who has time to consider usually extracts revenge for a slight, and has the 'Last Laugh' etc etc
He who laughs last.....Didn't get the joke in the first place
It's "He who laughs last laughs BEST".

I have NEVER heard it as "longest".

Maddog has the meaning down pretty good.

.
he who laughs last laughs the loudest.
he who laughs last take longer to get the joke lol
He who laughs last laughs loudest - it means if you lose the battle but win the war, you still walk away the winner. It is better to be the last man standing at the end then get the first hit in that has no real long term effect.
I think it means if you laugh at someone who has done something that is embarrasing and you lagh the tables may well turn and you will end up being laughed at and the embarrased one!! I hope that makes sense : )
