Why did Curley attack Lennie, in Mice and Men?

Question:

Answers:
Curley, being jealous, thought his wife was up to no good. In his attempts to "find her out", he comes across Slim and accuses him of an affair. As everyone gathers around to watch this argument, Lennie starts to laugh. Curley decides that fighting Lennie, who is obviously bigger and stronger, would validate him regardless of the outcome. If he beat Lennie, he would prove himself strong in the eyes of the other men. If he lost to Lennie, which would be expected, he would claim that he only lost because of Lennie's size.
In all, it wasn't Lennie's fault that Curley attacked him, it was Curley's desire to raise his status and position that drove him to attack.
I thought Curley went after Larry, or was ganged up on by Moe and Larry.
Curley always seemed to get the short end of the stick!
curley always cared what the other guys thought of him. while looing for his wife, who was a floozy, he can accross a few of the guys, including Lennie. Curley doesn't like big guys. Also, Curley was always looking for ways to start trouble. He wanted to mess with Lennie so if he fought him and won, everyone would think *wow curley beat up a guy that 3 times the size of him!* and if curley lost a fight to him, people would be like *that Lennie guy should go pick on someone his own size!*
Why don't you read the book and figure it out for yourself?
