What does the phrase "Don't look at me surrounded by that tone of voice" indicate?

My teacher other tells our class "Don't look at me within that tone of voice, you mean what I know", but he won't let somebody know us what it means. Can anyone explain this clich¨¦ to me?

Thanks.

Answers:    It's probably in hint to the body language that you (anyone) is exhibiting. When someone is angry they use a specific tone of voice, and their body spoken language also shows it. The same with a mean voice, a happy voice, and so on.
It appears he is mixing metaphors any to lighten the anger or he isn't aware of what he is doing.
It mode your facial expression is saying it adjectives. A lot can be conveyed with facial expression alone.
