I am the walrus, koo koo kachu-- who said this and why?

Question:Can't stop saying this annoying phrase all day.

Answers:
Lennon wrote most of this while tripping on acid. The up and down rhythm was inspired by a police siren he heard. The idea for the Walrus came from the poem The Walrus and The Carpenter from Alice in Wonderland. Lennon got the line "Goo Goo Ga Joob" from the book Finnegan's Wake by James Joyce. In short, this song was inspired by being under the influence and also by some literature Lennon read. : )
John Lennon, because he was tripping on acid when he wrote those lyrics.
