Answers: I grew up in South Carolina and both sets of my grandparents be from the country. There were lots expressions they used. These are two that come to mind.
My grandmother used to say "I'll swanee" when she be "riled up." She meant "I swear", but adage that was considered a sin surrounded by southern country. It is funny that "swear" was considered a swear word.
