Question:IM 15 ON MYSPACE MY FRIEND HAS A QUOTE THAT SAYS "JUST TO PUSH PAST EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING AND TO JUST TAKE IT." WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? DOES THAT MEAN SHE IS SELFISH?

It means that she is 15 and is trying to get attention by playing a sympathy card, but she lacks the knowledge to write a logical macabre line.

If you look at it one way, it means she is selfish, however, you don't really know what she is talking about, like it may be like taking a bullet etc. so it could go either way
Not necessarily I think it just means to push past adversity to achieve your goals not necessarily pushing away the good stuff. However you know your friend best, she could be a pusher of all.
1. YES. sounds very selfish. 2. Push past everything & everyone..then take what you want. Your find in life a lot of people act just like this. No matter how they get to where they are in life. It doesn't matter if they hurt people on their way up the ladder. What comes around goes around, always remember that!
Sounds like it. Why not ask her what she means? And ask yourself, is this the sort of person I'd like to have as a friend?
(Personally, I think she needs to leave out the words "to" in the quote if possible...they make it nonsensical)

I think it means your friend is putting out the message that she is a go-getter who will stop at nothing. However she may not be that way in "reality" at all. Or only a little.

She also may be trying to encourage those who hang back and miss out on a lot of living just because they'll wait at the back of the line forever. A person has to "take" some things some time.

It's an ok quote. Don't bother to put her on the spot for it, she'll only get defensive, etc. No big deal.

(She should also say who the quote is from on her myspace; otherwise it's just not "cricket," as some oldster might say.)
