They are both good, but the one from Gandhi is far more unusual and provocative.
Rowling's statement is fairly conventional wisdom, and it doesn't necessarily represent much of a challenge. But if you live by what Gandhi said, you always have to measure your words, deeds, and attitudes against what you profess to believe.

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."
Although many people (including me) have used it the way you typed it. One other thing: you spelled Gandhi correctly. ;-)

I think the Ghandi quote is overworked. I see it everywhere.
That's just my opinion, though. If the quote speaks for who you are and what you embrace, go for it.
