What does this quote mean?

Question:Somebody said this anonymous about one of my friends.what do you think it means?

"You left yourself behind a long time ago... I really miss you."

Answers:
It means the person changed and the person who wrote that misses the way the person used to be.
It means his personality has changed (for the worse). As he said "I really miss you".
it means that the guy who said it has gone forward in life or anything and the other person din't work so hard to move forward so he has left himself behind and the guy who said that misses him in the forward position..
I would take it to mean that you had lost yourself over time (happens alot when you're married with kids *sigh*) and had finally found yourself again, who you are, what you want to be and do, etc. Kind of a 'glad to see you're back to you're old self back' type thing.
