What does this quote mean?

Question:"You've got nothing to loose?" or "What have you got to loose?"

Answers:
It's "you've got nothing to lose...not loose...the words mean different things. That is our crazy English...and the sentence may be a little "slang".this is how it is used.

Go ahead and try it...you've got nothing to lose!.means it will cost you nothing to make an attempt at something..

it's like saying "what have you got to lose?"...turned around into a statement instead of a question.
Like asking somebody to dance. Someone would say "what have you got to lose?" which means all they can do is say no, you won't get hurt that bad and it will only take a minute.
it means you don't have anything left to care about.
It means that one doesn't have anything going for them, so whatever they do couldn't possibly affect them negatively because they have nothing in the first place.
In other words

If you do, say, or ask it there's nothing that's going to be taken away from you.

You ask her/him out. They say 'no' - You didn't lose anything that you had before you asked (other than wishful thinking concerning the possible engagment).
As you have written them, they mean nothing. There's a great deal of difference between 'loose' and 'lose'.
Loose change is far better than lose change. Learn to use the language.
One of the most intelligent questions I've seen here on here.

Look at the words. Find the meanings if you don't know them.

It wll make sense shortlyl
Yeah... Nothing ventured, nothing gained kind of thing...

If you start from status quo, and you try whatever it may be and you fail, the worst that can possibly happen to you is you just go back to status quo.

It's pretty straight forward.
you dont have anything to lose when you do something or that thing wont hurt you
Go for it. There is nothing to lose by attempting the task or challenge that you are facing, only, perhaps something to gain.
what are the risks that you're taking
It means: "take a chance".
It means that no matter what you undertake, decide or do with whatever aspect there is to ponder, the outcome will neither affect or make you less of what or who you are.
