How to I cite web sources in research paper using APA format?

Question:I have the handbook, but I'm trying to make sure I understand it, since I was only taught MLA in all my courses.

Am I supposed to refer to the webpage, or author of the webpage (if it names the author) in the text everytime I paraphrase a thought? Since most webpages don't actually show a page number, what do I do about that?

What's the main diff between APA and MLA?

Thanks for any help, I'm a little confused...

Answers:
When citing in-text references using APA style, you should use the author and year of the webpage (or article). For example,

(Lane, 2007)

If there is no author, then you have to use the title of the article (or webpage). Don't know much about the difference between APA and MLA though.
This site has a reference builder. It will create references in either format.
