Have you ever heard of this..?/?

Question:Even a fish wouldn't get in trouble, if it keep its mouth close!. My father taught me this when i was 4 years old. Heck I am 44 and today I learned just what it means. Do you know?

Answers:
The fish wouldn't get caught by a hook if it didn't open his mouth. Figuratively speaking if we learn to control are tongues we wouldn't make mistakes like gossip, say hurtful things we dont mean, lie ect...
i really dunno?
Sounds similar to what my grandpa taught me as a child.
"Listen or your tongue will make you deaf"
Just a way of teaching us that sometimes its better to listen more than it is to speak...we all know we have the great ability to open our mouths at the wrong time and put our feet into them so to speak.
It means that it's best to be quiet sometimes and just listen.
nope, never heard of it
life lessons
Gossip not good.
