what do u think walden tries to say in this quote???
Answers:
He is an expert on the topic of himself. If there was anyone else he knew so much about, he would talk about them instead.
It could also be taken in a slightly different way, that he feels he is superior to everyone else, and thus does not consider
it a worthwhile endeavour to even take the time to find out about them. He is all that matters.
Believe me, in the real world, there are TONS of people who are actually like this. So full of themselves that they can spend an hour talking about themselved without even thinkign about asking the other person, SO how are you anyway?
He's saying he wouldn't have to talk about himself if anyone else could know him any better. (Basically saying he doesn't think it is rude to talk about himself all the time. It's kind of a joke.)
He knows enough about himself to speak with some authority, he is less knowledgeable about anyone else.
Perhaps he finds himself more interesting than others as well.
