Do you agree or disagree with the quote "nature affect one's character and behavior more than nurture?

Question:I'm pretty sure the quote is saying what your made up of, like your genes and DNA from your parents affect you behaior and character more then how you were actually brought up.

Answers:
I disagree with the quote. I believe it's your parents and other people in your life plus what you experience as you grow that forms your character and determines your behavior more than your genes and DNA.
I think it's part of it, but I believe it's more nuture, or how you were raised, that affects your behavior. You have all these forces impacting from the moment you are born, how can they not affect your personality?
This is one of the unsettled questions. It has been asked every year for like forever. Both have and influence, but I think that "Nature" has only a predisposition to certain behavior, but "Nurture" has a determining influence. This goes for both character AND behavior. Does that sound right to you? Happy trails. :-D
Everyone is different, so it would be impossible to make such a generalization about whether nature or nurture was more important in affecting one's character. Because it is such an unpredictable subject, it will continue to be an unanswered question as long as there are mortal people living in this world.
Some professionals have spent their entire lives arguing one or the other point of view, yet neither will ever be completely right or completely wrong.
My suggestion is to have your children with the best possible candidate (from the gene standpoint) and to do your very best to provide for your children, not necessarily what is best, but what is best for them. That way you can hopefully have it both ways, and will not need give either point of view precedence over the other.
I don't believe in the quote as much as I disagree!!!!!!
nuture is WAAAAAY more of a factor than nature.

that's why animals can become domesticated (like that polar bear, Knut)... how you are raised determines your experiences

many people do succumb to poor environment but many also rise in spite of it, which is due to their nurturing (i.e. never give up, hard work, etc.)
