Answers:
MA meaning Massachusetts?
In my school district (in Maryland), we have certain schools that house the "autism program" as this program is not offered in all schools. Each program, from school-to-school, is identical and is typically for students who have not been successful with their typical peers. Also, each school has supports in place (again identical from school-to-school) to help assist these individuals with day-to-day academics, social interactions, organization and so on.
Are you looking for a school with specialized support/programming or just a school in general? Are the public schools in your area that different from one another?
You may want to check with your local autism support group and ask the parents for some input.
