I would steer clear of those for-profit 'online schools' such as University of Phoenix, Strayer U, Devry U and instead stick with a major college or uni that offers 'distance learning' courses.
For US colleges and universities: www.utexas.edu/world/univ
www.excelsior.edu
University of Phoenix, Axia ecampus.
If it is in India, go to IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) their web site gives you full details. All the best.
There are many good distant learning programs. What you want to make sure is that if you are going for an ungrad degree that if you plan on completing a masters that you check with the college you plan on attending. Also with some fields (education) some states do not accept a teaching cert program from a distant learning.
If you want to review some distant programs, you also want to make sure that they are accredited. Just because they say they are look into. You also want to look at the cost. Distant programs are costly but there are benefits. You also want to look into their attendance program. Some are very strict miss two classes and you are out of the class. And you do not get reimbursed.
I completed my masters online. You get what you give to the program. The more work that you put into the program the more you get out of it.
There are many institutions that offer distant learning it is becoming the way of the world. You may want to surf this web-site and go to college corner view what each school has to offer and, see if you have an interest in what field you would like to study in as a career.
good luck
I think it really depends on what type of degree youre looking for, in which subject, etc. Two institutions come to mind as being very good, the University of London and the Open University, both in the UK. However, there are no real rankings usually of distance learning, so it is really up to your needs.
