Can this be justified in any way, shape,or form whatsoever?

Electroshock went out with women being "owned" by their husbands as chattel (or so I thought).
WRONG WRONG WRONG
everytime in any situation!
Yes this is a real place and it is kind of scary, but the article does not portray it correctly. They use electric shock as a last resort. Typically for kids/ adults with serious self-injurious behavior or other dangerous behavior. They are also not using electric-convlusive shock therapy like back in the old days where they drugged people up and zapped the hell out of them. They have tons of research that have shown that when no other treatment has worked for these people the short-term use of shock has gotten rid of some very dangerous behaviors and has dramatically increased the individuals quality of life. The treatments are also over seen by the state human rights review board to ensure that this extreme form of treatment is only used as a last resort. If you are truly interested in this you should read their website. They have video testimonials from people who have experienced this therapy as well as videos of the postive results
