The SAT subject tests are required at Columbia. So if you don't have them, you are essentially missing a big part of your application...like not sending in an essay.
I would strongly recommend taking tests in areas that you are familar in. For example, if you took an AP course last year, take that SAT II test. Even if you only do OK, your SAT II scores won't be what kicks you out of admissions.
