Do I have to take toefl test ( I just live in canada for only 2 years)?

Question:I am a student in Ontario, Canada. If students are going to University , are they required to take a toefl test if they have not been studying in high school for 4 years?

Is there any way to aviod taking toefl test? I heard that there are some University programs that you could take instead of taking tofel test. Is that ture?

If I am going to University next year (2008) , what is the latest time should I register the toefl test so that I can hand my result of the test to University?


Please, I need help, I am worried.

2) If you have a degree from an English speaking school you may not need to take the TOEFL.
