What can I expect on the MATH part of the SAT?

Question:I won't have a problem with the Reading Comp or the Writing parts of the test, but I'm concerned about the math. Do all three sections count equally?

What kinds of questions are on the Math part? I know there are multiple choice questions, and grid-ins, but what kind of questions can I expect?

Also, if you don't mind posting... what did YOU get on the math part? And was it average, below average, or above average?

Any answers are GREATLY appreciated!

You can do some free practice for the math portion at:

There are two - 25 minute sections and one - 20 minute section so the two longer sections count for slightly more.

My score was above average and I studied through books and an online course. Good luck to you!
You can expect algebra and geometry. When I first took the SAT, my score was low in the mid 1700s but then I got the sat guide from TutorFox: http://www.tutorfox.com/satguide.html... and my score went up to 2190 (800 math, 760 writing, 630 reading). I highly recommend this guide for anyone wishing to get a higher SAT score.
