If I took the ACT again and did worse, what would happen?

Question:I got 28 a few weeks ago on the ACT. I'm only a Sophomore in high school so I have plenty of chances to take it again so time isn't a problem.

I did pretty low in math because I haven't had all of my math courses yet. I think I could easily get 30something if I had more math.

I was surprised with my score though and I'm kind of worried that I'd actually get lower if I took it again. Would they keep the original score or would the new one cancel out the old one?

Should I even take it again? D:

Answers:
Absolutely, take it again or as many times as you want
Colleges only look at your highest scores
Take it as many times as you would like. Only the highest scores count!
Your highest score would be the one that counts. So take it again.
You should take it again. When filling out college applications, you can send your highest ACT score to the colleges you apply. So take it as many times as you can. Congrats on the 28! That's a great score for being a sophmore.
act can be taken as many times as you want to take the test unlike the sat where each time you take the test the results will be sent to
your college(s) - they will take your highest score
