I'd recommend taking the most advanced courses you can for several reasons. I was able to begin university with sophomore standing because I had accumulated college credit for passing the AP tests, allowing me to have earlier picks in registering for classes (no 8 AM lectures for me, thanks). I just graduated last May and my brother is an engeener for Caterpiller! An AP Phyiscs would look beautiful on an application for colleges and for your future job! If you really like it then go for it, you might find that its easy!
