sat scores only really make a big difference if you are trying to get a scholarship or trying to get into a private college. If you are trying to go to a state college you just need to find out what the minimum sat score they will accept...this number is usually very low...and I was told when I went to take the sat to take the act instead that the test was easier and shorter and all colleges accept both act/sat scores.so I took the act and scored a 27 which i was told was good so I never took the sat...also I have never heard of a job asking for your sat scores but they do ask your gpa
yes
SAT's as in the tests you do before GCSE's? i doubt they make as big a difference than GCSE's but some people might look as far back as there. Good luck at college
I will tell you than I didn't do particularly well on my SATs yet I graduated with honors from college.
I think it's not a good indicator of future potential but the schools have to use something to weed people out.
My suggestion is to take a course on the SAT. Improved my score 120 points.
My SAT scores were good but I wouldn't say I had a stellar career. That score is only on one test taken at one point in your life. And it only measures your understanding of a couple of academic subjects. What is really necessary for success in life is vision, drive, and a willingness to do the work necessary to accomplish your goals. When I went to college, one of my suitemates had been diagnosed as learning disabled as a small child. Her parents had been told that the best she would be able to do is a receptionist. She was the valedictorian of her class and was a premed major. Her brother, on the other hand, was supposedly brilliant but it didn't look like he was even going to graduate high school.
So, for the test. Relax, study, and realize that it is only one part of the measure of you. Believe me, no one in the adult world ever thinks of their SAT scores again after it's all over.
Well I would say my ACT score of a 30 and SAT score of 1300 (old format) helped me get a near full tuition scholarship when coupled with my high GPA.
I would say that SAT/ACT results do have an importance because they do impact what school yous you can attend and whether you get a scholarship or not.
if you really want to get good grades, you got to work for it.i used to study 2 hours a day without any distractions.EVERYDAY. most importantly, you got to have the determination to continue with this plan. AND you got to revise before any test. good luck
