What is an average IQ score?

Question:I just took an IQ test and got a score of 108. Is that high? They person who prepared the test didn't give me an actual answer...just said that it was different for different people, but then
how would an IQ test determine how Inquisitive you are if everyone is different? I think his answer was wrong...

Answers:
An average score on an IQ test ranges from 85-115. There is a lot of variation in the general/ normal population that encompasses normal or average. You would need an IQ Over 115 or under 85 to be considered "exceptional" in either direction.
100 is average on the Sanford-Benet and most other tests. You're fine.
100 is defined to be the average.

So, 108 means that you are above average, probably around the 30th percentile.

It's a fine score.
