GCSE results unexpectedly low! whats going on?

Question:At the school in my town, there have been low GCSE results, such as no a*s in english language and none in DT!

We think the government may have a ploy to make the grades harder.

I was wondering if other schools are experiencing low grades? This may confirm my suspicions!

Answers:
I got C in English, when I really expected a B or an A. But, I also got a C in Science, when I expected an F.

Ours are up since the last year (although we have been the highest scoring in our schools history in the SATs). I was surprised by my A*s in both the English subjects (got a D in my mock :s)
