well most of the times, if you are 100-120 you are average..
but that is just the ones i have taken... and that means your below average...
I would say, take a different test, a real one, that is timed, and so forth... and raise the IQ up...

IQ testing is tricky because it is all relative to the test takers experience and culture. An average IQ is 100. They are graded on a bell curve with a 15 point discrepancy. (85-115) But that doesn't mean you aren't smart...that's just an average.

The average is supposed to be 100, but internet IQ test usually inflate your score (I took one for fun last night and got 190 - I'm sure that's not correct). That being said, 87 is not good, no.

Good IQ tests are very accurate. But there are a lot of things on the internet that say they're IQ tests, but that are wildly inaccurate. If you really want to know your IQ, you should pay a professional to administer a proper test.
100 is supposed to be average and 70 is the upper limit for retarded (bottom 2% of people). So 87 is a bit low. Adam B's website looks right when it says 87 means 81% of the people do better than 87.
an 87 is above the reported functional level as 60 is about functional for an Mentaly challenged individual.
I've taken just about every type of IQ test imaginable, including those administered by professionals. I've never tested below the top 1/10 percent. It is my considered opinion that the tests range from badly culturally biased to meaningless.
