I want to take AP Chem next year so I was just wondering that is it OK to take Algebra 2 along with AP Chem?

Question:I will be in 11th grade taking Honors Chemistry. I want to major in Biology in college and have gotten A's and B's in my previous science courses. Also, I maintain a 3.5 GPA.

I am not planning to attend a competitive college. I just want to attend a State University.

Answers:
Why wouldn't be okay?
Algebra II is very simple if you understood Algebra I.
It's basically more complicated factoring, equations, and graphs.
It's very concrete as opposed to say, geometry. where you have to imagine certain things.
I think you could handle it.
I'm extremely jealous of your strength and interests the sciences. I learned nothing in Chem last year and barely passed. Not even going to think about taking an AP.
Taking Algebra 2 with Chemistry is fine. It also helps if you understand some precalculus when you take AP Chemistry. The AP exam isn't all that difficult actually. You can, at the very least, pass it with a 3 with solid basic chemistry skills. Why not try AP Biology?
You should have no problem. Algebra 2 is simply doing fancy things with what you learned in Algebra I. The only math AP Chemistry requires is canceling, manipulation of fractions and being able to use a calculator.
