they have sats and other tests on intellegence, if you can get a counselor that actually talks to her kids, you might get an interest test out of her.
but when do you think the schools will actually take individual iq, experience and interests test to find out exactly what a student would work well in and then help him excel in that field.
most students haven't a clue what they want to do after they graduate. nowdays its too hard to find something even with a college degree.
Answers:
The schools won't do it as long as they are underfunded with overworked and underpaid staff...that's a "nice to have" that probably won't happen. With my kids I plan to bring them to my workplace, make them look through the classifieds so they can see what types of jobs exist out there. It has to come from the parents or it won't happen.
