I have a Bachelor Degree from Adelaide, Australia. Is it equivalent to a 4 year Bachelor degree in the States?

Question:

Answers:
As a rule, we like Aussies, yes.

We consider you to be a part of the civilized would with an appreciation of things comparable to that we in our inflated opinion of ourselves are thought to have.

Seriously, though, unless, you're going to grad school here it won't be a problem, then it depends on the school.
It will depend on what you want to do. If you are going to apply to graduate school in the US the school will evaluate your degree when you submit your transcript. If you are looking for a job it will only depend on the whim of prospective employes.
A U of A degree will almost certainly be recognized at a North American university. If you want your credentials recognized for some specific purpose, e.g. you have an engineering degree and want to practice engineering, you'd need to go through the hoops with the appropriate (usually State-level) body which does licensing.
