I enjoy the opportunity to study in a foreign country this summer, but I hold a conflict of interest?

I'm majoring in German and will own had two years by the wind up of this coming spring semester. My professors are encouraging me to study in Germany this summer because I hold really good grades within it so far. I would really like to walk, but I am also taking economics as part of my minor requirements contained by international relations. I am in Microeconomics, will be taking Macroeconomics subsequent semester and if all go well and I go by both of those, I can take the class I really needed, which is in International Economics. The problem is, it is individual taught here several miles sour campus, and I have no system of transportation to get in attendance. But, my Economics professor and a colleague of his have a program that offer that course over the summer in Shanghai. I hold no experience in Chinese, but the Econ course is skilled in English, along beside a few other classes, and they offer instruction surrounded by Beginning Chinese. I'm studying to be an interpreter, so I need fluency surrounded by a lot of language.

Answers:    you only live once, move about to germany!
well...thats relatively a Dilemma, if your Econ course that you want to take is within Shanghia, and you have no experience within Chinese and the class is taught contained by english...I think that here really isnt a problem...unless you really want to get a angelic incite as to how they live and get a fulfilling experience while your surrounded by Shanghai then i guess you should budge and be one of those really touristy looking peoples and bring tha whole english Chinese Dictionary along next to you, or do tha whole listen to the cartridge chinese/english interpretation.. But for the German part of your rule i guess it really depends on which one you really want to explore alot more, from my perspective it seems that since you are going to be doing interpretations and what not the chinese piece is looking pretty more fulfilling then the German piece, since your already good at what you do surrounded by German, it looks to me that your better off exploring different things and different civilizations and to draw from a feel of a more diverse cultural community, if anything and you budge t othe chinese thing, later you would have well-read about 2 different writing habits, later to have expertised within one..but this is just my view
