You can furnish your own place or have them furnish it in it most countries. You can have pets as well. I believe you still have to pay the utility bill. you have like a mobile home and has a limited amount of carry and living space. u can hold anything except drugs and nuclear bombs. Check with the base. They have personnel there to answer questions like this. Um...last I checked you only lived on base if hubby was by himself and living in the barracks. Bringing you in tow would require military housing and you are charged for that.
Also...I was in the marines for 5 years and the only pre-furnished places I ever saw were barracks. But...recruiters will sell you a bill of goods. Anything for cannon fodder. Depending on what base he is stationed at and if any family housing is available, you bring your own belongings. Depends on the base maybe you will have to live off base then you will get a housing allowance You will just have to wait and see what your status will be oof or on base more then likely off base til you been there long enough It depends upon your husband's rank and the military base he gets stationed at.
