What are affordable places for a student to live in Germany?

Question:I want to go to Germany for studies but heard that only expense that one will have there are living costs. Tution fees is 500 Euros a semester, so that is manageble. I heard Aachen around university is good with about 400 Euros a month. Can someone please tell me some other places with good univeristies around and affordable housing. Thanks

Normally the big cities are very expensive (Münich, Hamburg...). I recommend you Heidelberg and Freiburg, they have excellents universities, are beautiful cities, the people are super nice, and you can find a place to live accord to your needs.
