Cut out the sugar, caffeine, excessive carbohydrates. Start now - before school starts - start drinking more water, diet soda pops, flavored water. Drink natural, unsweeted fruit and vegetable juices. Stay away from fatty meat. Get exercise. You will be amazed at how much better you feel, and you won't have those artificial high and crashing lows. I wish someone had told me about these very common guidelines earlier in my life! I missed a lot. Oh, obviously, no smoking, no drugs!
