jeesh - forget going to campus - study at the Open University in uk...it's all 'correspondance study' but the materials are so good that i know tutors at oxford AND cambridge who use nothing else! if you want an education, an academic education - go OU...if you wanna get hi and get laid...i'm sure these other guys can suggest things but.email if you are interested in actually learning something about your chosen field - i've taught various things(psych' philosophy, english and more) in europe - spain, uk, germany - and there are MANY paths to knowledge!
I'm (guessing) the poor ones are...eg Texas or Georgia ie the whole of the hillbilly south...

The really cheap ones are not worth the paper they're printed on. Don't waste your time on them.

Actually, a lot of the South has expensive state schools. I live in Indiana and our state school is about average, but we have some really popular and expensive schools like Purdue and Notre Dame. The cheapest universities are smaller states in the West, most expensive in the North-East, coloinal area.
