Which has more phd prospects in USA-microbiology or biotechnology?

Question:i want to get Phd from USA.which subject should i take in MSc so that i get good funding?microbio or biotech?

Best thing is to enquire about funding before the admission by saying that you do not have funding and you will need it.
PHD prospects are more in biotechnology.in Usa
