Year studying abroad?

Question:Is it possible to study in a foreign university for a year if you are taking a Psychology degree? I am doing a combined honours, with the other half being language/ linguistics and would like to improve my language skills abroad to help my degree. But I'm worried about the psychology side of things, what with it being British-accredited. Help!

Answers:
Yes, it is. Your school might even have an agreement with certain schools abroad that will allow you to transfer your credit fully to your current program. You can't expect that to be a case all the time, though. Contact your school for details, they will most certainly be able to tell you more and even recommend a program they think is particularly rewarding. If they are not sure, the head of the department should be able to give you some advice as to a good school to go to. If you find a good program through your school, the application/visa process will be simpler for you.
Finish your degree and then spend a year abroad teaching English as a foreign language. I did and on my return very quickly got another degree in the language where I had lived.
