Question:I'd like to attend The University of Iceland next year or the year after. I live in the United States and will be attending my first year of college this fall. So, does anyone know who I have to pay to go to the University of Iceland? Like, do I have to pay for both a "home" university and the foreign trip? Or can I just attend the University of Iceland without having to pay for my "home" university? And furthermore, I don't know if anyone would know this, but how much does it cost to attend the University of Iceland? I have no idea how this works, someone please enlighten me? Even if you have vague or general info, that'd be much appreciated as well. Thanks. :)

You can't just show up in a foreign country and sign up for classes. It's quite possible that you won't be able to obtain a student visa, and matriculate to the Univ of Iceland, without going through your home university.
I can tell you this - if you plan on being able to combine all these credits (from US and Iceland), and get a degree in the US, you'll have to find a program that's approved by your US university. And yes, you'll have to pay the US tuition to your US university.
Your best bet is to contact the study abroad office at your university and ask them if there is an Icelandic program. If not, start asking about the process to get one approved.
It looks like the University of Iceland only accepts exchange students who have 60 credit hours, so you'll have to wait until your junior year. Also, the principal language of instruction is Icelandic, so you better get started on that. It is not a simple language to learn!
