What are some good web sites to look for teaching positions?

Question:

Answers:
I just heard about a website that helps find jobs for teachers. You can post your resume and select what type of position you're looking for, and they'll email you and alert you when you selections match an opening. It's similar to other job search websites, but it's specific to teaching. The website is

I found it through an email of a teacher's magazine that my district sends to all teachers. Hope it helps!

Go to the websites of the school districts in which you are interested. Now is the time - school is starting right away in a lot of areas. Good Luck!
In California the best site is http://www.edjoin.org/ which lists job opportunities all over the state, maybe your state has such a site. Another good place to look is your county department of education office.
www.edzapp.com
www.teachersteachers.com if thas not right then try it without the s on both teachers. Hope that helps. I live in Northern VA and there are tons of jobs here and the pay is good.
There is a shortage of teachers in the Wake county area of North Carolina. I would suggest typing in that info in a brower window & following where it leads you.

I know in some states applications are done by state, in others its done by county & in still others its done by town.

You didn't say which subject matter, what grade or which state you were looking for.
If you are looking to work overseas in international schools, try www.tes.co.uk . It is the website of The Times Educational Supplement and most reputable international schools advertise through this site. Select 'International' from the drop down menu. It may open up an opportunity that will change your life. The site also has many jobs in the UK.

International Schools Services (www.iss.edu) performs a similar function - you need to join for a fee of US $185 - but it does have a free list of international schools you could contact directly.
