The results are available for the teachers to see how all GCSE students performed in their school and also their individual subject. The teachers will have predicted your grades a few months ago. This information is used by the exam board and also by the school. Individual teachers usually compare the predicted grades with the actual grades. Also, it's useful for your teachers to see how you have done in other subjects.
As a teacher, I spend a long time looking at the results and thinking about how I need to improve and/or about advice I need to give to individuals about resits or choice of courses after GCSE.
Yes.
yup
yes i think so.
Yes - the results are downloaded then distributed to the pupils. No end of graphs and charts and lists are then formulated for stat analysis. So yes the teachers will receive lists.
the envelopes arent sealed so they can look at the grades before anyone turns up.

if you did GCSEs good luck on your results!

Yes. The results are used to make all sorts of stats. If you get constant good results all is lovely, if you do not, the head will be wanting to now why!
Every pupil has a target, and teachers are expected to reach that target or better it. If pupils do not get the expected results, a teacher will have to explain why.
I have been so proud of some of my pupils who got a grade E, more so than some who get A* because they could have got that themselves without much input from me.
This year the marks for each question will be given, so teachers can see if they are not teaching something properly.
The teacher's will only be told how meny of their class got As, Bs, Cs etc. But NEVER the names of the pupils.
I think they do, however, I doubt the names of the people who got what grades are revealed. Your results will be given to you in an envelope on the day.
Good Luck to you! :)
they sure are...most of them are seen before you see them! so teachers will know what you have got before you do! x
K is wrong. Of course teachers get both the grades and names of the pupils with those grades. Whyever would they NEVER get the pupil's names??
