How should I tutor a stubborn child in his review?

Question:He always ask to stop teaching him for awhile and plays his toys everytime. He is not serious with his studies.

Answers:
Use a schedule of reinforcement with the toys. Make it clear to him that you will voluntarily let him play with his toys for a certain amount of time as a reward, BUT he has to work for a certain amount of time too. For example, "We will do our school work for 10 minutes. Then you will have 2 minutes to play. We will do another 10 minutes of work and then have 2 minutes to play." Schedule it however you think it would work best for how long you tutor him. Make sure to use a lot of positive verbal reinforcement to encourage him!!
