Why do we need vowel and what is vowel?

Question:how to teach a 6 year old child what a vowel and consonant is

Answers:
Point out that vowels are the sounds that hold the consonant together. First say Aaaaeeeeooouuuww. And have the child notice that the sounds all flow together easily. Then try saying the child's name without the consonants. It won't be entirely possible and will likely sound funny.

Also say that the vowel is what makes bat, bet, bit, bite, boat and but all sound different.

Good luck.
you dont have to teach whats are the vowel unless the child leearns english as a second language. they will eventually know it by elementary shcool
first let the child know which alphabets are known as vowels and which are called consonants. when he will learn English in further classes, he will actually know how to use them. At this stage the child should be made aware to distinguish the alphabets.
Surely the child will learn that at school.
