What would you do if a student made a false confession ?

Question:Out of fear of being accused of lying if he/she said "I did not do it", when actually the child would be telling the truth?

Answers:
If a student decides (for whatever reason) to confess to doing a wrong, then allow that student to receive the punishment. Seems that they are asking for it. Who knows?

Jesus did that - well, He took the punishment for me and you, but was totally sinless and guilt-free.

If the truth is totally clear and obvious, then the confession should be investigated and the 'false confessor' made to see the error in trying to take the 'hit' for another person who actually deserves the discipinary action.
if they r over 16 ---canned them b a boy or girl.but u shud not hit younger child.
Send the student to the school counselor. It's their job to figure out what is going on with this child.

Do not cane them or refer to Jesus, check school policy on how to get the kid to see the counselor or social worker. Also, let the counselor know what you think is going on.
