Yes yes we all know the conciquences and im not asking if you tried anything.
Just wanted to know...what goes on in a teachers mind!?!
Like maybe theres a student that just has a great personality and you just cant help but enjoy their company?!

I teach elementary students so it's a bit different than high school. It scares me to think there are teachers out there who would allow this to happen but we've read the news and know it does. A teacher should be extremely aware of their feelings and capabilities and if they think this is even a possibility, they should not be in a grade level which this might occur. I look at myself as an ADULT and my students are all CHILDREN. There's no conflict here because I have morals, sense, and am not a disgusting pervert. It breaks my heart that there are teachers out there who break the trust of the student/teacher relationship and go beyond what is professional, moral, and legal.
this is not morally right the teacher needs to remove themself from the situation completely,,,, If they have any maturity to themselves.

I have never met a teacher who had a crush on a student. There is a large developmental span between teachers and students, even 18 year old students and 24 year old teachers. Teachers will be the first to notice this. I think any teacher who has a crush on a student usually has it catch up with them and the consequences of any actions that have been made are used against them.
i had a creepy music teacher that was a hippie [lol i typed hippo at first] and he has longer hair (his name is Mr.Harrington aka Mr. HarryButt) than me and he smells like tofu and hes the music teacher and he always stares at people creepy.. He calls the 2nd graders retards and is just creepy so I told the principal and she said... oh he gets lots of complaints.
So now i have a new music teacher and me and my friends all think she looks like a vampire her name is Mrs. Kilts haha

I dont know about k-12 teachers but many professors have crushes on students. As a matter of fact there are two professors at my school ... Mr. and Mrs. Dodd and Mrs. was a student of Mr. They started dating and got married.
Before college a teacher should keep herself in check. Just look at Mary Ann Latourno (or however it is spelled) and you can see the effect of a K-12 love affair.
