Favorite teacher and why? Which grade?

Question:What made this teacher "great"

Answers:
My favorite teacher is my husband:) All joking aside, he takes an interest in his students, cares enough to call their parents and celebrates their victories with them. We have far more pictures of his students than we do of our children.

When I was a child, my favorite Teacher was Mrs Munson, Second grade. She remembered all of our birthdays and made us a cupcake.

All good teachers and those we remember show a genuine interest in seeing children succeed.

i was in 11th grade my goverment teacher his name was mr, lord, and he was a hottie. lol
Mrs. Mooney

Kindergarten

She was wonderful! She was so good at getting kids transitioned from home to school and then ready to go on in school. That's in hindsight mind you. At the time I just knew I loved her!
Mrs. Griswold 8th grade history
I dislike history/social studies/geography immensely and Mrs. Griswold made me enjoy her class. I don't remember how she did it--I just remember loving her class. She loved her kids and her subject and somehow drew me into it as well.

I think a teacher who lets his/her passion for the subject or the act of learning shine brightly will always affect the students positively.

I also loved my 6th grade teacher, Mr. Taylor. I had a hard time as a youngster with my dad which led me to not have a fondness for men. He was my first male teacher and he was awesome! He joked, laughed, taught, and kept control. He was strict when he needed to be and let loose when he could.

Because I am now a teacher, even the bad teachers I have had throughout the years (Mr. Meyer, Mr. Holmstrom, etc) have given me examples of how NOT to do things. Teachers, bad or good, do have an impact on you and who you become.
My favorite teacher was Mr. Taub when I was in 7th grade, Social Studies.
At first, I was scared of all of my teachers because I just started middle school but then, I did all of my work, ALL of it. And Mr. Taub noticed it and gave me a lot of extra credit points, and he gave me a "bear buck" which we could use to cut the lunch line. =)
1st grade mrs. prosen... she was wonderful and nice and she made me want to be a teacher which i am right now
