Question:Until I return, hold my calls.

This is ok right? If not why?

Sounds ok to me, but I'd stick in a "please hold my calls." The prep's not at the end, so you've done well.
I don't believe "until" functions as a preposition in that sentence. A prepositional phrase begins with a preposition and ends with a noun or pronoun. "return" is a verb.
