a lot, they have more exams, we need GCSE's to get into college, we HAVE to do english, maths and science, but we can drop some subjects such as history at the end of year 9. i have been told that in the US that they have mid-terms and end-of-year exams every year whereas we only have the end-of-years, i have been told that higher up in high school they can choose to do english, maths and science or not, and they HAVE to do subjects such as history.
they go into things in more detail, in the UK we just learn things we need for our exams e.g in geography my mate told me that they only learnt 3/6 units because they only needed to know 3.

It's the same with math and stuff. But your vocabulary is different. We use other words than what you might use in England. Also world history might differ slightly. Other than that it's about the same.

Good question..probaly,maybe because people in england have a way of teaching. that is different from the education system in america it also depends in the kinds of skools.
Proberly less red tape and they proberly do not have an ESOL program.
