How do you get a teaching cerfication for a different state?

Question:I hold a NJ Elementary cerfication but there is a possible chance to relocate to Nevada. What are the steps to get my NJ cerfication to be accepted in NV?

Answers:
You can go to http://www.doe.nv.gov/ (which is the Nevada department of education homepage) and look under teacher licensing information. There you can find the forms and such that you need. Hopefully the certificate will transfer. Some states have higher requirements so you might need to take some extra classes or take an extra test. But I think Nevada is hard up for teachers, so it will probably just transfer. In some states you can get the job first and the school/county you work for will give you the paperwork you need to get a teaching cert. in that state. I have a PA certificate and got a job in MD and all the paperwork was done through them. But if you want to do it beforehand, go to the Nevada DOE website! Good luck!
