I believe that there are also some apartment complexes in the area that offer reduced rent. I live in a hot real estate area, so the discounts that used to be available to purchase a home are a thing of the past.

Many stores and restaurants also offered teacher discounts...nominal though...like 10% - 15% off.
There are many stores that offer a teacher discount (with teacher ID). I know that Barnes and Noble offers a 20% discount on materials that will be used at school. Also, many of the office supply stores have discount programs. As far as travel discounts, etc. that depends on what union you are in.
