How much should I charge per hour for tutoring?

Question:I'm in grade 12 and I want to tutor kids in grades 8-11. How much should I charge?

*Note: I'm in Canada.

Answers:
Professional Teachers get between 20 to 50 dollars in New England, USA. Being a student and depending on the subject and your skill I would guess between 8 and 10 dollars. Just my opinion
Depending on how long they go for I would charge about 10 US dollars an hour. More if they are in highschool, and less if they're in junior high or you know the kids well.
15 + dollars an hour, depends what your teaching, more if you are intending to teach many subjects
During my senior year I tutored middle school kids for $12 per hour and high school students for $15 per hour.
It`s unprofessional to charge unless you`re a fully qualified teacher. Do you have insurance against any claim for professional negligence ? Do you have an up to date CRB ?
