yah... i get scared... what if he talks to my mom about school. Yeah i saw my biology teacher in the sex area of Barnes&Noble. I was in the American history section and he was holding a book and was like hello Bridget! and scampered off somewhere! he was so weird! YEHA BUDDY!! Kind of; I used to see this one teacher all the time, but it was cool cause I worked with his daughter. Another teacher used to come into my dad's store all the time. It is kind of weird, but its also nice cause then you can see your teacher in a different way and in a different place and also see them as a person, not just your teacher. i grew up with teachers- my mom was one and all her friends were teachers-- so i saw them all the time - dinners, long weekends at the cottage etc- but the weirdest place EVER was my grade 5 teacher at a GAY bar.and his wife taught at the all girl highschool i went too. Why ? We do things everybody else does.We have families,we need to buy groceries,we go shopping too.
I have been teaching 8 years and I see my students around and I really don't like it either when your parents bother me while I am shoppping or eating. When I was little I remember kids thinking that teachers lived at school. I think I knew that they didn't but it was still hard to believe that they lived lives outside of school.
I'm a teacher and I don't do anything out of the ordinary, but I do need go to the grocery store, the mall, out to eat, etc. It's called living. :)
Don't be so "weirded out" by it.
