Also what other courses, routes is it best to take when wanting to be a primary teacher.
Also after a few years what would i have to do to be qualified to be a headteacher of a primary school?
Thanks

Any accredited college in your state is good for education. You should find out if your college has been accredited, so that way you can move out of state to get a job if you want to and your license is still good. If you get your license from a non-accredited school, your license is only good in that state.
There's no way to say which school is better than another, because all schools have to follow strict guidelines for an education program, and every school in the state has to follow those guidelines to be considered for a true education school.
The next step to become a headteacher (I assume that means principal) is to get your master's in education. That's the best route to getting to become top at a school. It's really easy, and a lot of schools offer a 1 1/2-2 year program that you can get master's in, and you can do it while working. Good luck!
Many Universities offer the Primary Education course, which is a 3 year degree and once you've finished that you're a qualified primary teacher, i'm currently doing the course myself!
Another option is to do a normal 3 year degree in a subject that you enjoy such as English, then do a 1 year PGCE course after in either primary or secondary teaching. This route also allows you to become a qualified teacher.
Look at The Guardian's official University rankings, you'll see which Unis are best for a course. I'm at Roehampton (SW London) myself and I cannot fault it for the Primary Teaching course and the Uni is made up of about 60% teachers.
Aberdeen unversity has recently been voted one of the top for primary education if it helps
